Lyons had won ten straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they bumped up to 10-3 to make it 11. They never let the Platte Valley Broncos get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Gretta Wynja was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
