The Stratford Spartans are on the road again on Friday and play against the George Ranch Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Stratford walked away with it. They really took it to Westbury for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-22 victory on the road. Stratford might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won six matches by 24 points or more this season.
Stratford's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Aaron Deleon, who threw for 282 yards and four touchdowns, and Hunter Biehl, who gained 200 total yards and four touchdowns. Stratford also got help from Braxton Wakefield who showed off his sure hands for 88 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, George Ranch entered their tilt with Katy Taylor with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. George Ranch came out on top in a nail-biter against Katy Taylor on Saturday and snuck past 21-19.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead George Ranch to victory, but perhaps none more so than Deion Drinkard, who threw for 119 yards and two touchdowns.
Stratford's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for George Ranch, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.
