The Nueva School Mavericks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 45 points or more this season. Couldn't have asked for a better start to 2024 than the 77-29 blowout they got at home against Pacific Bay Christian. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-19.
Despite the loss, Pacific Bay Christian still got an impressive performance from Ethan Chau, who scored 14 points. Lucas Zabaneh was another key contributor, scoring six points.
The Nueva School's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Pacific Bay Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. The Nueva School will face off against San Francisco Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pacific Bay Christian is on the road again on Saturday and play against South San Francisco at 6:30 p.m. on January 6th.
