It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Pine Bluff Zebras can now relate to. They took a 49-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saints on Friday. Pine Bluff's loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Defeat or not, Pine Bluff got some senior leadership from Landon Holcomb who threw for 414 yards and four touchdowns while completing 78.3% of his passes and Courtney Crutchfield who picked up 220 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Crutchfield's longest reception was for an incredible 76 yards. Another player making a difference was Kendall Burton, who picked up 92 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Bo Williams went supernova for Shiloh Christian, rushing for 269 yards and five touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Creighton, who rushed for 39 yards and a touchdown.
Pine Bluff's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Shiloh Christian, the last time they lost on the road was back back in October. Having now won three straight away matches, they've pushed their record up to 11-2.
Pine Bluff does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Shiloh Christian will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Parkview at 6:30 p.m. on December 2nd. Parkview has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 519 points over their last 11 games.
