The Kimball/White Lake Wildkats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. The match between them and Wolsey-Wessington wasn't particularly close, with Kimball/White Lake falling 62-44. Kimball/White Lake has not had much luck with the Warbirds recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Moshe Richmond was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with five rebounds and three steals for Wolsey-Wessington. Richmond continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Richmond, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Kimball/White Lake dropped their record down to 3-8 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Wolsey-Wessington, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.
Kimball/White Lake will head out on the road to take on the Gorillas at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Gregory is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games. As for Wolsey-Wessington, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Rangers at 3:00 p.m. on January 27th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in South Dakota (Hill City is ranked 45th, while the Warbirds are ranked 40th).
