The Rio Grande City Rattlers''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 57-14 defeat at the hands of Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North. Rio Grande City was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-7.
Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North found their leader in underclassman Ethan Guerra, who rushed for 155 yards on only 13 carries, and also picked up 81 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Alejandro Aparicio, who threw for 161 yards and three touchdowns.
Rio Grande City has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Rio Grande City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North will be playing at home against Donna at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Donna will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 791st, while Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North is ranked 134th).
