The Walker Wolverines are on the road again on Thursday and play against the Marietta Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. on December 21st. Hopefully Walker focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Saturday.
Walker struggled with assists on Saturday (Lassiter had ten more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Walker took a 49-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lassiter. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Walker has scored all season.
Walker's loss came about despite a quality game from Noah Pederson, who scored 20 points. The match was Pederson's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Anderson Carey was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Walker struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Marietta scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They walked away with a 69-56 win over Campbell. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Marietta has managed all season.
Walker's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2. As for Marietta, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-6.
