Football Recap: Macon County's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Macon County's offense rose to the challenge against a Golden Wildcats defense that boasted an average of only 12.65 points allowed on Saturday. The Macon County Tigers claimed a resounding 45-14 victory over the Melrose Golden Wildcats. The result was nothing new for the Tigers , who have now won ten matches by 22 points or more so far this season.

Despite the loss, Melrose still got an impressive performance from Rhyan Brown, who rushed for 94 yards and two touchdowns. That's the most rushing yards Brown has posted since back in November of 2023.

The win was the eighth in a row for Macon County, bringing their record for this year to 12-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.4 points per game. As for Melrose, with the defeat, they broke their ten-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-4.

As of now, neither Macon County nor Melrose have any future games scheduled.
