It was fun while it lasted, but Washington's undefeated season came to an end after five games on Monday. They fell 64-53 to the Heights Bulldogs. The match marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Washington still got an impressive performance from Kadyn Barnes, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 boards. Another player making a difference was Greg Moore, who posted 12 points.

Heights was led to victory by Eric Ekwegbara and Dj Baines. Ekwegbara went 6 of 9 en route to 16 points and eight rebounds, while Baines went 6 of 14 on his way to 18 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Eric (Ej) Beard Jr, who put up 11 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Washington fell to 5-1. As for Heights, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-4.

Washington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 70-55 victory against Kashmere on the 7th. As for Heights, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 62-44 defeat against Iowa Colony on the 5th.
