Killingly's Tyler Stucke rumbled for the longest rushing play in Eastern Connecticut - Small this season in his game against Stonington last week. Stucke ran for 74 yards on the play and finished with 168 on the day as his team fell to the Bears.
Dezmond Kennawi and Travis Zurowski provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Stonington. The longest such play in the league this season, the connection resulted in 72 yards.
Killingly's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Redmen feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Kennawi has thrown for 314 yards and three touchdowns this season, while Zurowski has six catches for 173 yards. Stucke leads the league in rushing with 558 yards.
A big matchup in Eastern Connecticut - Small this week will be when A.J. Massengale's team takes on St. Bernard-Norwich RVT. At the moment, the Bears are in first, while the Saints are in fourth.
Plainfield made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,086 from 9,627. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 38-7 victory over Woodstock Academy last week.
