Streetsboro is 0-9 against Springfield since March of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Rockets will look to defend their home field against the Spartans at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Springfield will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Streetsboro extended their winning streak to four on Friday. The Rockets put the hurt on Ravenna with a sharp 10-1 victory.

Amy Rein spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Olivia DeToro was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaidence Cox, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Streetsboro kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Springfield came tearing into Monday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Colts.
Springfield also let their pitcher toss all six innings played and she was also dialed-in: Lilli Stokes gave up a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, Springfield got a massive performance out of Melaena Martin, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI Martin has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Izzy Potter, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and three RBI.
Streetsboro's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Springfield, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.
Streetsboro's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's matchup. The Rockets have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.6 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Springfield, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Streetsboro continue to outrun the ball?
Streetsboro might still be hurting after the 12-2 defeat they got from Springfield in their previous meeting on April 3rd. Can the Rockets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
