The Pilots will head out on the road to face off against the Huskies at 3:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Glenns Ferry sitting on five straight victories and North Star on 15.
While Glenns Ferry's win against Idaho City wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pilots won by a run and slipped past the Wildcats 6-5.

Bryce Sterling made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times he's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Heath Parsons, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one triple. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Reynolds, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Glenns Ferry kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 5-2 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, North Star never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They blew past Garden Valley 17-0. The Huskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 contests by eight runs or more this season.
Luke Fox was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Fox was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Teague Fox was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Cole Young, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
North Star pushed their record up to 16-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.4 runs over those games. As for Glenns Ferry, the victory got them back to even at 11-11-1.
Friday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Glenns Ferry has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .447. However, it's not like North Star struggles in that department as they've averaged .569. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Glenns Ferry couldn't quite get it done against North Star in their previous meeting back in April as they fell 8-5. Can the Pilots avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
