The Cape Fear Colts will venture away from home to  square off against the Pinecrest Patriots  at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Cape Fear will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
On Tuesday, Cape Fear made easy work of Pine Forest  and carried off  a  3-0 victory.
 The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-15,  25-17.
If Richmond Senior wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Pinecrest, they should've done a better job of containing  Aubrey Taylor. The Patriots came out on top against the Raiders by a score of  3-1  on Thursday thanks in part to  Taylor, who  had 20  digs and six  aces. She is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had 11 or more in each of the last nine games she's  played.
 Pinecrest got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-18, 31-29,  25-17.
Cape Fear better focus on containing  Mollie Colasacco and  Carly Stayskal as the pair were huge in Pinecrest's win. Colasacco  had ten  digs, while  Stayskal  had seven  digs and five  kills.
 Pinecrest  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with 14  aces. They are 11-3 when  they serve at least ten aces.
 Cape Fear's record is now 15-6. As for Pinecrest, their record now sits at 11-12.
 Cape Fear skirted past Pinecrest  3-2 when the teams last played  back in September of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colts since the  squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
