The Ridgemont Golden Gophers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a 43-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ridgedale. Ridgemont has struggled against Ridgedale recently, as their game on Saturday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Ridgemont lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Anna Ramsey, who scored 14 points along with four steals. Ruth Eckstein was another key contributor, scoring four points along with 13 rebounds and five steals.
Ridgemont's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Ridgedale, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgemont will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Ada at 6:00 p.m. on January 22nd. As for Ridgedale, they will face off against Elgin at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Elgin will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
