The Mars Fightin' Planets won against the Erie Royals last Friday with 57 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Sunday. Mars came out on top against Erie by a score of 57-50. The win made it back-to-back wins for Mars.
Mars' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryan Ceh, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Ceh is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last 12 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Campbell, who scored 13 points along with five assists.
Mars is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Erie, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mars will take on Moon Area at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Moon Area will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak. As for Erie, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Harbor Creek at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Harbor Creek will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 287th, while Erie is ranked 126th).
