Poyen will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Bigelow at 7:00 PM. Poyen are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the game prepared for a fight.
Poyen put the finishing touches on their 5th blowout victory of the season last Friday. They were fully in charge, breezing past Cutter-Morning Star 42-6. Senior Jacob Farmer, who passed for 318 yards and 4 touchdowns, was a major factor in Poyen's success. Near the top of the highlight reel was Farmer's 55-yard TD bomb to Dalton Wetherington in the first quarter.
Meanwhile, Bigelow found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 21-42 punch to the gut against Mountain Pine. Bigelow's defeat continues a disappointing trend for the team, making it three losses in a row.
Poyen's victory lifted them to 5-2 while Bigelow's loss dropped them down to 3-3. We'll find out if Poyen can add another positive mark to their record or if Bigelow can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Poyen's step.
