The Bronson Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Hamilton County Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
St. John Lutheran hit Bronson with a four-run first inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles fell 5-2 to the Saints. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Saints: they've now lost four in a row.

Trey Tucker put in work while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Tyson Petrokowski was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two doubles, and one run.
Meanwhile, Hamilton County might've scored the first runs on Friday, but it was Bell who claimed the real prize. The Trojans took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The game marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.
Gaige Allen made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Chance Johnson also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Bronson's record is now 2-4. As for Hamilton County, their record now sits at 7-3.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Bronson has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Hamilton County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Bronson might still be hurting after the 17-4 loss they got from Hamilton County in their previous meeting back in February. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
