First Flight had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against the Beddingfield Bruins as the First Flight Nighthawks made off with  a  29-1 win. The  victory was a breath of fresh air for the Nighthawks as it put an end to their three-game losing streak dating back to last season.
 Ben LaVier made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing one inning while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. LaVier was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-2.

 In other batting news,  Dillon Francis was  incredible,  getting on base  in all six of his plate appearances with three  runs and four  RBI. The dominant performance gave  him a new career-high in  runs. Another player making a difference was  Cruz Lancaster, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances.
 First Flight  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .702. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Beddingfield only posted  an  OBP of  .250.
 Coming up, First Flight will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on D.H. Conley  at 7:00  p.m.  on March 5th. As for Beddingfield, they will head out to  square off against Rocky Mount  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday.
