Carvers Bay has been on the road for four straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Lake View Wild Gators at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Carvers Bay didn't have too much trouble with Waccamaw on the road as they won 46-31.
Carvers Bay's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kenneth Bateman, who scored 11 points along with 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenard Heyward, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Lake View ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Dillon Christian and snuck past 62-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Among those leading the charge was Jayden Ford, who scored 18 points along with 8 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Camden Umphries, who scored 10 points along with 6 rebounds.
The losses dropped both teams to an identical 2-2.
Carvers Bay was able to grind out a solid win over Lake View when the teams last played back in December of 2022, winning 49-40. Will Carvers Bay repeat their success, or does Lake View have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
