Kansas City-Atchison recap Oct. 30, 2012
Keyaun Burke of Schlagle ran for the longest rushing play in Kansas City-Atchison this season against Washington last week. Burke's team defeated the Wildcats as he sprinted for 77 yards on the play and finished with 138 in all.
Schlagle led the league in scoring this week after putting up 45 points on Washington. Burke in the win.
Brian Cobbins was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 148 yards on 23 carries as Sumner Academy lost to Atchison. Tripp also contributed to the rushing game with 95 yards on the ground.
Tripp was the best wideout in Kansas City-Atchison this week as the Sabres lost to the Redmen. Tripp tallied three receptions for 78 yards.
Tanner Huntington put up the best numbers through the air as Atchison beat Sumner Academy. He finished with a total of five completions for 68 yards and two touchdowns. Huntington's favorite target this week was Wade Gassmann, who caught two passes for 37 yards.
Todd Wassman's team's Brandon Williams and Tripp have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Williams has thrown for 1417 yards this season, while Tripp, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 28 catches for 631 yards. J'veyon Browning from Tim Dorian's team leads the league in rushing with 1070 yards.
