The Highland Prep Honey Badgers can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. They breezed by BASIS Phoenix at home to the tune of 59-18. The victory was just what Highland Prep needed coming off of a 57-32 loss in their prior contest.
Kohen Hill continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 21 points and ten steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 18 games he's played. Paxton Clarke was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.
BASIS Phoenix's loss came despite strong showings from Michael Hervey and Krish Bhakata. Hervey scored six points along with five rebounds and two steals, while Bhakata scored six points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, BASIS Phoenix struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Highland Prep posted 21 assists.
Highland Prep's win bumped their record up to 13-10. As for BASIS Phoenix, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-17.
Highland Prep will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. BASIS Phoenix does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
