On Friday, The Round Mountain Knights faced the Beatty Hornets in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Round Mountain blew past Beatty 34-14. The result was nothing new for Round Mountain, who have now won three matches by 20 points or more so far this season.
Marquez Zamora was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 129 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Keiran Swafford also helped out with an impressive 85 receiving yards.
Round Mountain's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. The heavy lifting was done by Eberle Schultz and Gavin Banks who racked up five sacks between them.
Round Mountain now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Beatty, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
