Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Providence School Stallions, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They suffered a tough 4-0 defeat at the hands of the Marauders on Tuesday. Providence School has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Elias Strickland, who's played more minutes than anyone else on the Maclay squad sat out for Tuesday's game. With Strickland sitting this one out, Max Colon got some extra time on the pitch (80 vs. his season average of 57).
Providence School has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7-3 record this season. As for Maclay, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 17-1-2.
Providence School does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Maclay, they will square off against P.K. Yonge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Maclay is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
