Leading Twin Lakes to victory were Olivia Nickerson and Addie Bowsman. Nickerson scored 24 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Bowsman scored 18 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds. Nickerson is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Taylor Oliver, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Loss or not, Winamac got some senior leadership from Piper Link and Maggie Smith. Link scored nine points along with seven rebounds, while Smith. scored nine points along with two steals.
Twin Lakes' victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-9. As for Winamac, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-9 record this season.
Twin Lakes won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Tipton at 5:30 p.m. on January 26th. Tipton is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Winamac, they will square off against Wabash at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
