After flying high against the North East Indians two weeks ago, the Fallston Cougars came back down to earth. Fallston was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 57-56 to Joppatowne. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Calil Thorne was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 19 points along with nine rebounds. He also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. Kishann Smith was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 11 rebounds.
Fallston has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Joppatowne, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Fallston will head out on the road to face off against North Harford at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. North Harford is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Joppatowne, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Bel Air at 5:30 p.m. Bel Air is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
