The Fairland Dragons will face off against the Goshen Warriors at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Fairland sitting on three straight victories and Goshen on four.
In what's become a running theme this season, Fairland gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 72-29 win over Rock Hill at home. Given Fairland's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while Rock Hill is ranked 471st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Fairland relied on the efforts of Kamryn Barnitz, who scored 16 points along with four steals, and Bree Allen, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and four blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Barnitz has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Bailey Russell, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Goshen strolled past Madeira with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 56-42.
Fairland's win was their 15th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 40.2 points. As for Goshen, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.
