Maple Mountain is a perfect 5-0 against Timpview since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Golden Eagles will be playing at home against the Thunderbirds at 3:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Maple Mountain has eight straight victories, Timpview has nine straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Thursday, Maple Mountain got the win against Wasatch by a conclusive 7-1. Considering the Golden Eagles have won 12 matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Cy Chrisman, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, one triple, and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as he's now launched at least one in each of the last three games he's played. AJ Thomas was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Maple Mountain kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.
Meanwhile, Timpview lost 13-3 to Orem on Thursday.
Will Cannon was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Clark, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.
Maple Mountain pushed their record up to 18-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Timpview, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.
Everything went Maple Mountain's way against Timpview in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Maple Mountain made off with an 18-3 win. Do the Golden Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Thunderbirds turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
