It was a good run, but the Pacific Bay Christian Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 60-52 to Kehillah. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Pacific Bay Christian in their matchups with Kehillah: they've now lost three in a row.
Pacific Bay Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Noah Jung, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Hahnmin Khim, who scored 13 points.
Kehillah was led to victory by Ittai Kohavi and Bodhi Gemello. Kohavi almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds, while Gemello scored 23 points along with five rebounds and four steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Kohavi has scored at least a third of Kehillah's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Cohen, who scored four points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Pacific Bay Christian's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Kehillah, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pacific Bay Christian will challenge Design Tech at 7:20 p.m. on Monday. As for Kehillah, they will head out on the road to face off against Summit Shasta at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
