With a playoff game on the line, the Kathleen Red Devils rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 52-10 victory over the Dreadnaughts at home. Kathleen has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 contests by 20 points or more this season.
Leading Kathleen to victory were Kayden Gause and Amaya Shaw. Gause scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals, while Shaw scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Shaw has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last five times she's played. Haley Roper was another key contributor, scoring five points along with three steals.
Kathleen's victory bumped their record up to 18-7. As for Lakeland, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-20.
Kathleen will face off against St. Cloud at TBD on Friday. St. Cloud will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Kathleen surely won't give up without a fight. Lakeland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
