Softball Game Preview: North Moore Mustangs vs. Central Carolina Academy Eagles

The North Moore Mustangs will challenge the Central Carolina Academy Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Moore is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

North Moore's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Wednesday. They blew past Bartlett Yancey 15-0. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by seven runs or more this season.

Sydney Russell and Macey Jackson made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Russell tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Jackson tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. At bat, Russell went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Jackson went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave Jackson a new career-high.

North Moore's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Central Carolina Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
