The Napoleon Pirates will head out to face off against the Northwest Mounties at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Napoleon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.
Napoleon's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Addison 17-0. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.

Hayden Rendall
05/27/25 @ Addison | 4 |
05/14/25 @ Lumen Christi Catholic | 2 |
05/02/25 vs Vandercook Lake | 2 |
04/30/25 @ Jonesville | 2 |
04/17/25 vs Manchester | 2 |
Hayden Rendall was incredible, going 4-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Jocelyn Gamez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Napoleon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Northwest won against Marshall last Tuesday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Mounties beat the Redhawks by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 8-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mounties.
Lucy Bivens (2025) spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ari Good (2025), who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Addi Moore (2025), who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Northwest pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Napoleon, their record is now 9-11.
Napoleon beat Northwest 4-0 in their previous meeting back in April of 2017. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Mounties have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
