Aquinas posted their biggest win since December 12, 2023 on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Woodcrest Christian 57-30 on the road. Given Aquinas' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 320th, while Woodcrest Christian is ranked 783rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Aquinas' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Daniel Wol led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds. Wol has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Bol Dhieu was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Linfield Christian beat Arrowhead Christian 69-65 on Monday.
Aquinas has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record this season. As for Linfield Christian, their win bumped their record up to 11-14.
Aquinas didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Linfield Christian in their previous matchup on January 9th, but they still walked away with a 46-41 win.
