South Hills can attribute much of their success to Tyler Arguinzoni, who rushed for 149 yards and three touchdowns, and Danny Resendiz, who rushed for 197 yards while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. The dominant performance gave Resendiz a new career-high in rushing yards.
Meanwhile, a win for Walnut just wasn't in the cards on Friday as the team wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They took a blow against Chino, falling 54-24. The Mustangs have struggled against the Cowboys recently, as their game on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Although Walnut took the loss, they still got scores from Harland Corey Fluker Lll, Brenden Neeley, and Isaac Gonzales.
