The Sayre Spartans will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Thomas Nelson Generals at 7:30 p.m. Sayre is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home.
Last Tuesday, Sayre had to suffer through a rough 59-21 loss at the hands of the Bluehawks. Sayre was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-10.
Meanwhile, Thomas Nelson entered their tilt with the Commanders with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Thomas Nelson was the clear victor by a 61-35 margin over the Commanders.
Sayre has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season. As for Thomas Nelson, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-9.
