Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-8, 25-12.
South El Monte got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kagium Sanca out in front who had nine digs and two aces.
Meanwhile, Alhambra was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to Gabrielino.
The victory got South El Monte back to even at 5-5. As for Alhambra, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
