At the plate, Sawyer Rogers was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Avery Everhart also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Morristown was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Edinburgh only posted a batting average of .286.
Meanwhile, Tri fell victim to Hagerstown and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 11-0. The loss continues a trend for the Titans in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.
Tri saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ann Bean, who went 2-for-3 with one double.
Tri's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-3. As for Morristown, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-5.
Saturday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Morristown has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .432. However, it's not like Tri struggles in that department as they've averaged .444. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
