The Troy Warriors are on the road again on Thursday and play against the El Dorado Golden Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on December 7th. One thing working in Troy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matchups.
Troy pushed their score all the way to 62 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Los Altos 68-62. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Troy came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 128th, while Los Altos is ranked 444th).
Meanwhile, El Dorado pushed their score all the way to 63 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 64-63 to Los Altos. It was the first time this season that El Dorado let down their fans at home.
El Dorado's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Caleb Hendrix , who scored 17 points along with 3 steals, and Andrew Salvador who scored 12 points along with 3 steals. The game was Salvador's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Nathan Meek, who scored 7 points.
Troy's win bumped their season record to 7-2 while Los Altos' loss dropped theirs to 4-4.
Troy strolled past El Dorado in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 by a score of 58-44. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was El Dorado's Cooper Bladow, who scored 25 points along with 4 steals. Now that he won't be playing on Thursday, will it be that much easier for Troy to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
