Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hertford County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shimere Garris, who scored 17 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Rimiez Williams, who scored 22 points.
Rocky Mount has fallen quite a ways from their 21-4 record last season and are now at 0-3. As for Hertford County, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Rocky Mount will head out on the road to face off against Hunt at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hunt presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Rocky Mount in North Carolina (Hunt is ranked 157th, while Rocky Mount is ranked 502nd). As for Hertford County, they will be playing at home against Currituck County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
