Big Walnut has gone a perfect 3-0 against Whetstone recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Golden Eagles will host the Braves at 5:00 p.m. Big Walnut is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.

Big Walnut had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Canal Winchester on Monday. The Golden Eagles were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Indians. The Golden Eagles haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Kyra Holmes, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Madi Clever was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Big Walnut kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are 7-2 when they post 11 or more hits.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Whetstone's offense. They came up short against Thomas Worthington on Thursday, falling 11-0. The Braves just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Whetstone's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Big Walnut, their win bumped their record up to 14-12.

Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Big Walnut hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .331. However, it's not like Whetstone struggles in that department as they've averaged .333. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Everything went Big Walnut's way against Whetstone in their previous matchup back in April of 2019, as Big Walnut made off with a 17-2 victory. Will the Golden Eagles repeat their success, or do the Braves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
