It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Santa Fe Catholic Hawks had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Rams 2-1. The win was just what Santa Fe Catholic needed coming off of a 5-0 loss in their prior match.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
KENDALL FREELAND and
COPELAND COLLANY, who scored both of Santa Fe Catholic's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 31 so far this season.
Santa Fe Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 16-3-4. As for Orangewood Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.
Santa Fe Catholic will be playing in front of their home fans against Geneva at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Geneva will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Santa Fe Catholic surely won't give up without a fight. Orangewood Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
