After three games on the road, Prescott is heading back home. They will take on the Coconino Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Prescott knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 11 games -- so hopefully Coconino likes a good challenge.
Prescott scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They really took it to Mohave for the full four quarters, racking up a 84-42 win on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-19.
Prescott's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Zane Gaul, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 11 rebounds, and Uriah Tenette, who scored 30 points along with eight steals and six assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which Tenette has scored at least a third of Prescott's points. Another player making a difference was Costa Contreras, who scored six points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Coconino strolled past Lee Williams with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 55-36. The win made it back-to-back wins for Coconino.
Prescott is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Coconino, their victory bumped their record up to 10-11.
Prescott strolled past Coconino when the teams last played on January 4th by a score of 66-51. Does Prescott have another victory up their sleeve, or will Coconino turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
