The Notre Dame Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Central on the road and fell 75-46. Notre Dame was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-15.
Central was led to victory by Jobe Bryant and Caden Casey. Bryant scored 22 points along with eight assists, while Casey dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Bryant has scored at least 25% of Central's points. Kannon Harlow was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
Notre Dame's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-3. As for Central, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
Notre Dame will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Saxony Lutheran at 7:30 p.m. on January 19, 2024. Central will be home for the holidays to greet Festus at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
