Basketball Recap: Training Center Christian Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

Training Center Christian won the last time they faced Independence Home School, and Creed Lopez did his part to make sure it happened again. Training Center Christian came out on top against the Independence Home School Lions by a score of 52-45 on Friday thanks in part to Lopez, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 11 boards. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last 18 games he's played dating back to last season.

Independence Home School's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aidan Vanderhorst, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Jacob Baumgarten, who scored 11 points.

Training Center Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Independence Home School, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-6.

Training Center Christian will challenge Christian Learning Center at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Training Center Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.1 points per game this season. As for Independence Home School, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Overland Christian at 7:30 p.m. Independence Home School is facing Overland Christian at the right time seeing as Overland Christian is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
