The Masconomet Regional Chieftains will head out on the road to take on the Marblehead Magicians at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Masconomet Regional is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
On Tuesday, things could have been worse for Masconomet Regional, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 46-29 loss to Salem. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Masconomet Regional has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Marblehead waltzed into their match on Friday with four straight wins but they left with five. They were the clear victor by a 72-52 margin over Danvers. Marblehead has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 20 points or more this season.
Masconomet Regional's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Marblehead, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.
Masconomet Regional ended up a good deal behind Marblehead in their previous matchup back in January, losing 71-55. Can Masconomet Regional avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
