Despite the defeat, Flint River Academy saw an underclassman step up: Reagan Riner scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Riner has scored all season.
Lafayette Christian was led to victory by Carmen Bridges and Marta Oria. Bridges scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and four steals, while Oria scored eight points along with seven steals and three blocks. That makes it three consecutive games in which Bridges has scored at least a third of Lafayette Christian's points.
Flint River Academy's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-5. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.0 points per game. As for Lafayette Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-5.
