It was a good run, but Johnsburg Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Lake Placid Bombers by a score of 4-3. The Jaguars were not able to make up for their loss to the Bombers from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Johnsburg Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nicholas Sauer-Jones, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Johnsburg Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3-1. As for Lake Placid, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Johnsburg Central has already played their next contest, an 18-1 victory against Indian Lake Central/Long Lake Central on the 8th. As for Lake Placid, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-6 win against Schroon Lake on the 8th.
