The Maranacook Black Bears will square off against the Oak Hill Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Maranacook will be strutting in after a victory while Oak Hill will be coming in after a defeat.
On Friday, Maranacook needed a bit of extra time to put away Spruce Mountain. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-9 win over the Phoenix. The Black Bears' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Maranacook got a great performance from Austin Tibbetts as he tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits.

Maranacook hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Spruce Mountain struck out seven times.
Meanwhile, Oak Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against Monmouth Academy, falling 14-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Raiders have suffered against the Mustangs since April 30, 2022.
Logan Langlois made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. That run was his first of the season.
Oak Hill's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Maranacook, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
Maranacook might still be hurting after the 11-1 defeat they got from Oak Hill when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Black Bears have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
