Last Thursday, Dunellen came up short against Calvary Christian and fell 58-50. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Dunellen in their matchups with Calvary Christian: they've now lost four in a row.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Jamael Davis, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. Davis is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Vibert Reynolds, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Even though they lost, Dunellen were working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Academy for Urban Leadership Charter was the victim of a rough 58-36 loss at the hands of Keansburg on Thursday. Academy for Urban Leadership Charter has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Dunellen bumped their record down to 0-4 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Academy for Urban Leadership Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Dunellen came up short against Academy for Urban Leadership Charter in their previous matchup back in February of 2022, falling 50-40. Can Dunellen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
