The Edwin O. Smith Panthers will challenge the RHAM Raptors at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Edwin O. Smith comes in on ten and RHAM on four.
Edwin O. Smith barely beat South Windsor the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Bobcats on Friday. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by seven runs or more this season.

Olivia Lipps made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Rachael Morales was incredible, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Louise Champage, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one double.
Edwin O. Smith kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in ten consecutive games.
Meanwhile, RHAM gave up the first runs on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They put the hurt on Bacon Academy with a sharp 19-8 victory.
The team relied heavily on Mya Strumskas, who went 3-for-5 with five RBI and three doubles.
Edwin O. Smith's win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for RHAM, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.
Monday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Edwin O. Smith has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .446. However, it's not like RHAM struggles in that department as they've averaged .464. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Edwin O. Smith's way against RHAM in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Edwin O. Smith made off with a 12-3 victory. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Raptors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
