It's playoff time, and Enterprise had no trouble coming through when it counted. They never let the Our Lady Academy Crescents get on the board and left with a 17-0 win on Thursday. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 20 matches by seven runs or more this season.
Meredith Dearman was a major factor no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles.
In other batting news, Saylee Perry and Anna Herrington did most of the damage at the plate: Perry went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Herrington went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs Perry has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Marlee Brannan, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Enterprise hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Our Lady Academy struck out six times.
Enterprise has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season.
